Welcome to my Studio!

It is situated on the gentle slopes of Magheramore with glimpses of Lough Corrib and Oughterard, where Connemara begins.

I came to Connemara ten years ago, drawn to its wild and rugged landscape, from Camden Town in the heart of London, England. A big change!
Here I have been able to indulge my love of Nature and Mythology and express it in my painting.

I have a gallery for the sale of my work which is open by appointment during the week and at weekends.

I also run a small artschool from my tranquil and well lit studio.I am fully equipped to teach Oil Painting, Watercolour and egg tempera. I take only 6 pupils at a time so I can give them lots of attention. My teaching methods are friendly and relaxed. I prefer to teach mixed ability classes as I feel that this encourages and sustains each group. Quite often I will be working on my own painting, which is always a learning experience.

The art classes run continuously throughout the year and can be joined at any time, spaces permitting. I have some pupils from as far away as the UK and the USA who come to this part of Ireland for their summer holiday. Others are regular pupils from different parts of Galway.
